The Southern Employee Benefits Conference (SEBC) presents this prestigious
award each year to an exemplary individual as recognized by his or her peers
at the SEBC Annual Educational Conference. This award is named in honor
of Blackburn H. Hazelhurst and Harry V. Lamon, Jr., co-founders of the SEBC,
as well as recognized pioneers in the field of Employee Benefits.
Criteria:
- The individual must be or have been in the employee benefits
field working in one of our recognized disciplines.
- The individual must have ten years of industry experience.
- The individual must be or have been an SEBC member for a minimum
of 5 years.
- The individual should have demonstrated outstanding achievement
in their respective profession.
- The individual should have made some significant contribution(s)
to society outside of the industry
- The individual must be a recognized leader within his/her organization
or within the industry.
Members are nominated by completing a “nomination” form. The
form will ask for the candidates name, certify that he or she meets the
criteria, and a brief paragraph simply making the case for consideration.
The forms will be reviewed by the entire Steering Committee, or some
subset thereof, for selection.
